Finally – the day that many Flower Mound residents have been waiting for has arrived! During the Town Council meeting on September 15, council members approved a design plan for Flower Mound’s very first dog park.
The plan includes a location at Heritage Park East, on the northeast corner of Garden Ridge Boulevard and Spinks Road. The park will be five acres, including a one-acre area for small dogs at the north end and an approximate two-acre area for larger dogs toward the south end. And each area will have a unique entrance.
There will also be about 40 parking spaces, a black vinyl chain link fence, a sidewalk connecting shade areas to each portion of the park, as well as other amenities.
The Town anticipates bids may go out late October, so just hang on a little bit longer Flower Mound residents! Your dog park is within reach!
