Foodie Friday: Go, Go, Go to Sushi Go!

After almost two years, I finally convinced Kari to go eat sushi with me. So, today I am thrilled to tell you about a new local sushi restaurant, Sushi Go, located off of FM 407 near the Village Church in Flower Mound!

We heard lots of talk about how fresh and delicious the food Sushi Go serves is and I’m always on the lookout for a great local sushi spot, so I was really excited to try this place out!

While we were there, we met a couple of customers who told us they come in at least two or three times a week and have become regulars of Sushi Go since they opened.

But I think the greatest testimonial for Sushi Go is that Kari, who was an avid sushi-hater, was actually converted to sushi during our visit!

So, would you like to see what beautiful food we enjoyed while we were there?

We ordered three rolls: the Angry Wife with salmon, tuna, white tuna, snapper & jalapeno; the Crunch Roll with shrimp, crab and avocado topped with spicy crab; and the Spicy Tuna. And we also ordered some salmon and tuna sashimi and nigiri which was perfectly fresh and flavorful.

And at the end of our meal, they brought out their Chef Special which is a hand roll filled with tuna, spicy crab, shrimp, salmon and five different sauces including their Cry Baby sauce. It kind of looks like a sushi ice cream cone!

The flavors and freshness of all their food was incredible. Everything is made-to-order right in front of you and and is sculpted and presented beautifully.

And here’s a fun fact for you: Did you know that the idea of sushi actually began in Korea? While we typically eat Japanese-style sushi, the original sushi was thought up by Koreans!

But if you want some fairly-priced, delicious, fresh, made-to-order sushi in the area, you need to try out Sushi Go! And if you’ve always been too scared to try sushi, Kari is living proof that one good meal can quickly change your mind.

I can’t wait to head back to try some more of their specialty rolls! Hope to run into some of you Foodies at Sushi Go in the near future.
