This is a great story about two municipalities coming together to better the local economy for each of them. The Town of Flower Mound and the City of Grapevine recently announced that due to their combined efforts, Mercedes-Benz, USA (MBUSA) has decided to construct two facilities on a 50-acre site at Lakeside Parkway and Enterprise Road, which is situated in both Flower Mound and Grapevine.

The first of the facilities will be a regional Parts Distribution Center, and the second will be a Learning and Performance Center which will serve as a high-end technical training facility for Mercedes-Benz dealership technicians throughout the Southwest region.

Once the facilities are up and running, the distribution center is expected to be 254,000 square feet. And the 59,000 square-foot training facility is expected to employ approximately 50 full-time employees with the capacity to train up to 200 technicians each week.

What a great example of how two communities can come together to accomplish something great! Congratulations, Flower Mound and Grapevine! And welcome to the area, Mercedes-Benz!
