Foodie Friday: Paradise Bistro & Coffee Co.

Lakeside DFW has been blessed with another great restaurant recently opening its doors, and we were fortunate enough to dine at their wonderful new addition – Paradise Bistro & Coffee Co. – this week!

In their second week of business, Paradise Bistro has been greeted by lots of warm wishes and reviews from Flower Mound residents, and we were eager to add ours into the mix!

The Lakeside DFW location is Paradise Bistro’s second, with their original location in the courthouse square of Granbury. Owned by brothers, Aaron and Nathan McDaniel, along with their father Tony, the entire business is a family affair. The exterior sign was actually made by Aaron’s brother-in-law and father-in-law!

And their goal is for customers to come in and feel like Paradise is an extension of their own home, whether it’s for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

We paid Paradise Bistro a visit around dinner time, but can’t wait to head back soon to try out their breakfast and weekend brunch menus, which include breakfast classics like pancakes, biscuits and gravy, omelettes and breakfast tacos. Or if you go for weekend brunch, they add some specialty dishes to the lineup like Banana Nutella Waffles, Chicken & Waffles and a Smoked Salmon Benedict (yum!!).

Paradise Bistro is also a great mid-day option with their extensive salad and sandwich options, including their Paradise Special Salad made with fresh strawberries, pecans, red onions and feta cheese; or their Paradise Chicken Salad sandwich made with their signature chicken salad comprised of grapes, pecans and chipotle mayo.

We went a little heartier at dinner with our choices – ordering the Steak Salad made with char-grilled corn, black beans, avocado, grilled steak, onions and tortilla strips; and the Paradise Beef Wellington, which is a deconstructed version of the classic dish made with tender filet medallions, a savory mushroom sauce, puffed pastry and served with au gratin potatoes.

Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious, and was full of flavor and love! My mouth is actually watering just writing about it!

Paradise Bistro & Coffee Co. also serves a wide variety of delicious coffees, liquors, fine wines and beers – to truly make your dining experience with them complete.

And on top of all that, they have a great assortment of baked goods and pastries! Which we obviously had to test out for the benefit of all of you. We took a slice of Coconut Cake and a cinnamon roll home with us, and they were each baked to perfection. If you’re a fan of coconut, you’ll love this cake! And the cinnamon roll tasted just like a treat you’d get at Grandma’s house.

I have a feeling we’ll be heading back to Paradise Bistro & Coffee Co. often – there are so many other delicious-sounding menu items that we need to try!

If you’ve already had the chance to check Paradise Bistro out, let us know what your favorite dish was! And if you haven’t… get over there immediately! It’s a Foodie Friday must-try!
