Many of you probably know that I was heavily involved in the original push for awareness of a historic log cabin found right here in Flower Mound last year. And while some of you may have seen pictures, I’m sure there are lots of you who haven’t had the chance to visit the Gibson Log Cabin in person yet!
The great news for you is that this Saturday, March 19, you’ll have your chance to tour the cabin as Girl Scout Troop 4007 hosts an open house from 9:00am-Noon.
I’d highly recommend you take advantage of this opportunity to tour this cabin which was hidden in the walls of a another home for years, and sits on a four-acre site that was part of the Land Grant originally patented to William Gibson in 1854.
So, mark your calendars to come spend some time at this historical landmark – it’s such a neat piece of history to have right here in our backyards.
*The Gibson Log Cabin is located on the southeast corner of Quail Run and Flower Mound Roads. Parking is available at Liberty Elementary School.
