Jay Around Town: Highland Village’s “Our Village Glows” Celebration

Considering it’s 80 degrees the week before Thanksgiving here in North Texas, I think many of us are looking for ways to get into the festive holiday spirit this weekend.

If your Saturday night is free, we’d suggest you head to the Shops at Highland Village to take part in the Our Village Glows Celebration that begins at 5:00pm with the tree lighting taking place at 6:30pm.

The event also includes a light show themed “Let it Glow! Holiday Light Spectacular,” musical entertainment, horse-drawn carriage rides, face painting, cookie decorating, ornament making, costumed characters, AND a visit from Ol’ Saint Nick himself escorted by the Highland Village Fire Department!

They’ll also be raffling off 8 Classic Turkey Dinners courtesy of Whole Foods Market! Imagine that… you wouldn’t have to cook next week!

And with a high of only 60 degrees on Saturday, you might actually be able to whip out a sweater and jacket that evening to REALLY get into the spirit of things!

The Shops at Highland Village will have lots of other festive activities happening throughout the holidays and you can learn more about all of those by clicking here.
