Jay Around Town: Ready Or Not, Election Day Is Coming

There’s been no shortage of conversations happening in the news, on Facebook, etc. about the upcoming Presidential Election. But we thought you might find it helpful to know how to actually go about voting here in Flower Mound, especially regarding early voting. So, here’s some information you may find helpful.

Early Voting

Everyone predicts higher-than-usual voter turnout with this election, so you may want to seriously consider early voting which begins Monday, October 24 for Flower Mound voters at the Municipal Court/Police building located at 4150 Kirkpatrick Lane. Here are the hours for early voting:

October 24-28: 8:00am-5:00pm

October 29: 7:00am-7:00pm

October 30: 1:00-6:00pm

October 31-November 4: 7:00am-7:00pm

Election Day Locations

On Election Day – Tuesday, November 8 – there will be 17 polling locations in Flower Mound. Voting is by precinct only and you can figure out your precinct by clicking here.

The ballot on November 8 will also include a special election for Flower Mound voters where they can vote whether to amend the Town’s Charter with 8 proposed charter amendments. You can view those charter proposals prior to Election Day by clicking here.

 

Community Update: Innovate Flower Mound’s Open House

We’ve been privileged to attend several meetings where the leaders behind Innovate Flower Mound have shared their vision for how this new Flower Mound venture can best serve our local entrepreneurs. And we’ve been anxiously awaiting the day where we can stop by and check out their space.

Well, that day has finally arrived! Innovate Flower Mound has officially opened its doors for the public to come tour their space in Parker Square and learn how we can all become involved in their initiative to inspire creativity in our community.

The remaining Open House hours are as follows:

Thursday, July 14 from 2:00-3:00pm
Friday, July 15 from 10:00-11:00am

Everyone is welcome to attend, the Town just asks that you please RSVP by sending an email to alora.wachholz@flower-mound.com with the date, time and number of attendees.

The official Grand Opening for Innovate Flower Mound is on Monday, July 18th – and as local entrepreneurs and business owners ourselves, we could not be more excited!
