Angel Tree

Community Update: Participate in 13th Annual LISD Angel Tree

With Thanksgiving tomorrow, it’s natural for us to begin taking inventory of all the things we should be and are grateful for. And as the holiday season comes upon us, I know we’re all looking for ways to reach out and serve those who are less fortunate than ourselves.

LISD provides a great way to serve peopl who live right here in our community with their annual Angel Tree. This campaign is a way for us to help children across all LISD schools, from newborns to 19-year-olds, who could use some help this holiday season.

Each of the 700-plus “angels” is nominated by a school counselor or local social worker, and they then compile a list of each angel’s needs and wants.

If you’d like to adopt one of the angels, click here where you can sign up and see their individual needs. The deadline to sign up is Wednesday, December 9.

And if you need any more information about the campaign, you can email LHS Student Activities Director, Allison Stamey at stameya@lisd.net or call 469.948.3120.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! May we all find reasons to be grateful!
